QUESTION OF KNOWLEDGE
GoodWaytoGo.blogspot.com aims to encourage students in South Mississippi to improve their academic skills, and to maintain those skills through a lifetime of learning. As such, we are providing small incentives for students to study.
Correct answers to the "Question of Knowledge" earn students academic supplies and/or gift certificates. Awards depend on the difficulty and number of questions.
The first student to respond correctly in our comments section will be declared the winner.
To qualify, participants must be a student at any public, private, parochial, or certified home school located in South Mississippi (consideration may be given to other students across Mississippi and the United States). School attendance and other information must be verified before an award will be presented.
Once a correct answer is determined, the winner's Name Tag will be announced on this site. The student may contact goodwaytogo@cableone.net or telephone 228-471-4306 to provide pertinent information.Students, parents and school officials will be notified prior to any presentation.

D'Iberville Students Moving to New Digs
When South Mississippi schools reopen Wednesday after the Mardi Gras holiday, students at D'Iberville High will finally move into their new digs.
Students spent most of last week helping to move furniture and academic supplies into their new location. The building cost about $41 million and will hold 1,662 students, according to www.sunherald.com
School officials said rain and construction delays moved the original opening from the 2008 Christmas holidays to Feb. 25.
Principal Elmer Mullins said most of the students and staff are ready for the move. Some seniors said they would rather have completed their final year at one location, but they like the idea of a new school
The district built a new high school after Hurricane Katrina destroyed D'Iberville Middle School. Students from that school will move into the present high school.
Both buildings are located on Lamey Bridge Road, about seven miles apart. The new school will be used as a shelter during hurricanes.
Biloxi Students Moving Around in the District
Biloxi School District officials are implementing a restructuring plan that will mean new locations for hundreds of students across the district.
According to www.wlox.com, the changes will mean all sixth- graders will move to what is now Michel Seventh Grade School.
Seventh-graders at Michel will relocate to the present Biloxi Junior High, which will become a school for seventh- and eighth-graders.
Biloxi High School now located north of Biloxi Bay will get another wing for ninth-graders. The wing will include 38 classrooms, offices and a cyber cafe.
