Police Bike Auction Set for March 13



PASCAGOULA -- The police department will hold its annual bike auction on Saturday, March 13, in the parking lot along the north side of the department building, 611 Live Oak Ave.


Registration starts at 8 a.m. for the 9 a.m. auction.


Approximately 78 bicycles of various makes, colors, sizes and condition will be on the auction block.


Many of the bikes were abandoned and recovered by the Pascagoula Police Department. If owners of the items cannot be identified, or owners do not claim the property, they are put up for auction after being held for a minimum of 3 months.


Revenue generated from the auction becomes part of Pascagoula’s general fund.


The bikes will be sold for cash only. No credit cards or checks will be accepted.
